Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color

The Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color’s ($2.99 USD) are incredibly pigmented, vibrant and long lasting. The shades are beautiful and come in a variety of creams, glitter and frosty textures. They glide on the lips effortlessly with a doe-foot applicator and dry to a matte finish. Once dry on the lips they do not budge (don’t say I didn’t warn you)!

I own the following shades:

  • Click On My Hyperlink
  • Pocketful of Roses
  • Rose to the Occasion

I was very excited to try out the Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color because of how pigmented and beautiful the colors are. I was however disappointed upon my first application of using them. The first color I applied was Click on My Hyperlink. I absolutely love the color of this one and the pigmentation is phenomenal, but about 30 seconds into applying it became sticky and tacky. The texture was no longer smooth on my lips like upon first application. After about a minute, I rubbed my lips together, total mistake! I was left with patches of product on my lips. When I went to remove the product completely, I had to literally scrub the lip color from my lips with makeup removing wipes to the point that they bled.

Now, most people would have given up at that point but I was determined to find a way to wear these because the pigmentation was so great and the colors were beautiful. I decided to try out Pocketful of Roses with one of my favorite lip balms underneath, Avon lip. This helped a bit but it still did not look well on the lips and dried with an awful feeling. The removal process was a lot easier though since I had a barrier between the lip color and my lips. In a last attempt effort, I decided to try just a regular chapstick balm and applied the final color Rose to the Occasion. It was pure perfection! The lip color went on beautifully, felt great and looked great on my lips. It did not become tacky or sticky, in fact it stayed very smooth and soft on my lips. When it came time to remove the product from my lips, it wiped off effortlessly.

Now that I found a way to wear the Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Colors, I went back and tried the same method with the first two colors. It worked perfectly for Pocketful of Roses but I still had issues with Click on My Hyperlink. It was a lot better than the first time but I feel like the formulation for Click on My Hyperlink is different and I would not recommend this one because it is so difficult to work with. I would however recommend picking up the other two shades, especially at the affordable price of $2.99. They are both beautiful and as long as you apply a regular chapstick balm underneath, you should not have any issues.

OVERALL

Overall, I loved the pigmentation, longevity and vibrancy of the Wet N Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color in both Pocketful of Roses and Rose to the Occasion. As long as you apply a regular chapstick balm underneath the lip color, you should not have any issues. I would not however recommend Click on My Hyperlink. A beautiful color, yes, but the formulation appears to be different and it looks, and feels terrible on the lips.
