Down at the horses for a day of fun
As most of you already know, before having my daughter I had horses that I use to go out and ride just about everyday and just about every weekend you could find me out at a barrel race doing my thing. This was my last year (2007) of racing before having my daughter and moving overseas to Germany with my husband. At that point in my life I had to sell my horse but I am super excited that my husband will be getting me and my daughter another horse so that I can start racing again and she can learn to ride better in just a few months when we move up to GA!
I grew up having horses my whole life but my very first horse that I didn’t have to share with my sisters was named Cassie. I got her for a Christmas present one year and she was one of the best horses I ever had. She was also the first horse I started barrel racing on, though she was not champion barrel horse she taught me had to barrel race and won me a few buckle in conjunction with a new barrel horse I ended up getting. After a few years and a few new horses later I ended up selling her to a friend from my gymnastics team who wanted her very first horse. Since I had learned so much on Cassie and had too many horses at the time I ended up selling her to my friend so that Cassie could teach her all the things she taught me. The good thing was that not only was she a friend of mine but she also boarded her at the same place I did so I was still able to see her daily. She is still at the same place and I still visit her every so often. Anyways, the point of this story is that I took my daughter down to see Cassie a week or so ago and wore my new Shyanne Boots to see how they held up to a day at the hoses and they held up fantastic!
Here is my daughter riding (excuse her messy hair lol)
For this outfit I paired my Shyanne boots with a pair of Levi Jeans and crème color lace top, both from Kohl’s. I added one of my western belts and vintage looking bracelets to finish of the look.
Dressing it up for a night out of dancing!
The great thing about these boots is that I can wear them all day at the horses but still throw them on with a dress for a night out full of dancing and look great! In this outfit I have paired my beautiful Shyanne Boots with a simple white lace dress from Kohl’s and topped it off with a western belt around the waist. For accessories I kept it simple with a one pearl necklace and a vintage looking bracelet. I am now ready for a night out on the town! (sorry in advance for some of the pictures that have major sun glares in them).
Summing it up
Rating: Overall rating is an A++ Overall: I really love everything about these boots! I have worn many boots over the years and these are the most comfortable pair I have owned. I also had an accident many years ago when I was practicing for a barrel race when my horse slipped around the barrel and came crashing down on my right leg and foot. 1,000 pounds of horse crushing my leg was not so fun and it was indeed the first time in my life that I gave into taking a pill for the pain (ibuprofen is still the one and only pill I will take for pain lol). I luckily didn’t break anything but tore a lot of ligaments and I don’t think it ever healed right. After the accident most boots would wear fine on my left foot but would dig into the top of my right foot causing me pain. I am happy to say these boots are a keeper for me and do not bother my right foot at all! I would highly recommend them for comfort, durability, and style Where to purchase: http://www.bootbarn.com or at a Boot Barn Location near you.
